Members of The Sydney Street Choir are homeless or disadvantaged men and women. Led by Peter Lehner since 2003 and with no regular ongoing funds source, the choir now relies on money raised from performances, donations and in kind support from community organisations.

Tony Backhouse:

Singer, composer, vocal arranger, musical director, workshop leader and author Tony Backhouse, is one of the leaders in the Sydney a cappella movement. He is the founder and former musical director of Café of the Gate of Salvation gospel choir and leads male trio The Heavenly Lights. Tony founded The Honeybees in 1996 and for 6 years was the Musical Director.
